However, the sandwich idea started in Roosevelt in the early 80's out of a little produce store on Highway 40. I know, I was there. They did the same great sandwiches for the truck drivers, locals, and travelers back then. I remember walking from my house to the store. The owner would make me the best ham and cheese sandwich.
